The Osprey, the noble Sea / River Hawk. There is an amazing illustration of the raptor, in the famous Audobon's "Bird's of America," gracefully snatching a fish from the water, that inspired my drawing for the embroidery. For the new version Amapal Creative used an English Dry Wax. Its an modernized version of wax canvas with an updated blend of waxes that give it a lighter, "dry" feel compared to traditional wax canvas but retain all the water proof qualities.
